Russian Anna Chakvetazde has risen quickly up the WTA rankings and is currently ranked at number 7 in the world. She has won seven WTA events thus far and is likely to go on to win many more. Her Grand Slam performances are improving too, the 21 year old reached the semi final here last year. She has already been winning this year when she lifted the Paris Indoor Title, this added to the four titles she won in 2007. She has yet to lose a final.
